PimpWagon 01-09-2003, 01:01 AM Fujisubo exhausts are SICK! They make some of the best exhausts out there!
kalasend 01-09-2003, 10:47 AM Got some data from the official website:
(this is for Legalis Super R on a GDA)
Weight: 11.5 kg
Mid-acceleration(At 3rd gear, going from 30kph->130kph):
Stock: 8.1 sec
Fu: 7.9 sec
Max hp:
Stock: 226.2 ps / 6170 rpm
Fu: 235.3 ps / 5500 rpm
Max torque:
Stock: 294.98 Nm / 4520 rpm
Fu: 312.62 Nm / 3850 rpm
Noise level:
idling: 66dB
3k rpm: 83dB
5k rpm: 87dB
4k~6k response(what does this mean?): 101dB
Is this better than other exhaust that are more available on the market here? (ie. Blitz, HKS, Apexi, etc.)

me likes Fujitsubo
Oo DaRk StAr oO 01-09-2003, 06:04 PM Whats the price I have been looking at this exhaust for a while myself.
kalasend 01-09-2003, 07:23 PM this looks like a whole catback to me....but I may be wrong...or is it?
nosuchsol 01-11-2003, 05:14 PM They make one heck of an expensive exhaust for the 350Z. It's a titanium on that one - so I'm assuming the WRX would be equally as expensive??

I'm sure those little resonators help to reduce the noise levels a lot. Looks like a nice exhaust that's for sure.

IIRC they are catbacks:D
rota wheels wrx 01-12-2003, 09:58 PM I have a fujitsubo legalis R on my JDM GC8 and it sounds really nice. Not so noisy at idle and very powerfull compared to the stock STI exhaut.
It is a catback with 2 resonators. I wish they have this in the states for my wrx but they have no US marketing arm.

Unfortunately, the GC is at the Rota plant in the Philippines. I will try to post a sound clip.
When I go back to the states, I'll see what I can do to bring in a Fujitsubo exhaust for the wrx we have in Hayward.
Most Fujitsubo exhausts are JASMA certified which means they are pretty quiet

i havent been to PI in a long time, is Fujitsubo easy to aquire there?
HongKongBeef 01-13-2003, 12:36 PM i sense a rota wheels Fujitsubo exhaust group buy coming! ;)
kalasend 01-13-2003, 10:27 PM no reply from any domestic vendors...
Since i will be in Hong Kong in two weeks, i sent out an inquiry today. Got a reply for the RM01A exhaust. HKD $3900 ~= USD $500
Damn, this would be sweeeeet deal for me already...though I'm definitely going to bargain for more :)
However shipping cost is high too, even if I will bring it on flight, don't know how much the "Fragile - Handle With Care" sticker would cost......
rota wheels wrx 01-14-2003, 08:04 AM Wow RM 01 is one of the most expensive Fujitsubos being titanium. Cool!
By the way, we get our Fujitsubo stuff from Japan or Hong Kong as well. Sometimes, it's even cheaper in Hong Kong. Just walk along Hak Po street or Dundas street and you are bound to buy something for your Scooby

those RM01A's are SICK!!! Beware though, i hear those fockers are LOUD as heck, no joke. Thats why if i was a richer person, id prolly get the Legalis Super R. The RM01A is all over the Hyperev magazine, perhapse you should check it out
btw..how much for the other exhausts?

Are you sure? I was told (that HK shop) that the Legalis Super R is the same price as non-Ti RM01A
So far i found the sweetest deal domestically to be Z-1 auto:
RM01A Ti US$1840
Legalis Super R US$710
ship is $45 and 4~6 weeks
But if you're willing to pay US$250 you'll get it in a week.
Didn't tell me about RM01A Stainless but I guess it's similar to Super R.
Btw, Fujitsubo has data showing that RM01A is the same dB level with Legalis Super R...

anyhoo...i see your a Milpitas native. You gotta keep me posted, cause i definatyl want to hear your exhaust when you put the thing on :)
someone told me the RM01A's were significantly louder than the rest, perhapse he was refering to the titanium version? Oh well, good luck, and i hope to hear your ride if you get this kick @$$ exhaust
james nicol 01-14-2003, 04:49 PM i think the issue is a down pipe to mate with all the excellent jdm spec cat backs that are sold in japan and asia hopefully some will be made for our usdm length exhausts and lhd cars
james nicol 01-16-2003, 11:48 PM fizzautosports.com say they are going to a stock a model for the wrx . they are in the new york area and were very attentive to my inquiry

dorifto88 01-22-2003, 10:57 AM update?
HongKongBeef 01-22-2003, 12:03 PM kala: how much is it to ship that over? so u'd buy the exhaust, bring it to the post office. and just have them ship it?
i might be going to japan and HK in may. gotta start planning what to buy!
BeefCake4000 01-22-2003, 01:43 PM which exhaust will give more Hp gain? RM 01A or Legalis Super R ?
kalasend 01-22-2003, 02:27 PM By looking at the data, seems like both exhausts produce the same power/torque gain. But I like the sound of a RM01A more so I'm going to get it.
In terms of pricing, the lowest price I can get from the states is well over $700 EXCLUDING shipping. (by sea 4~8 weeks)
So if I were to pay $700 something anyway I would let the HK dealer earn it and have the exhaust shipped here in 1 week by air.
HKbeef, I quoted from http://www.top-racing.com.hk
you can take a look and possibly ask for other shops contact.
dorifto88 01-22-2003, 11:56 PM HKBEEF
you didnt tell me you were going!!!
BAKANE!!!
anyhoo, for kick @$$ prices, look here
http://www.h2motorsports.com/
btw rm01a is cheaper than legalis super r
rm01a is roughly 500 bucks

link dont work
subarwrx 01-23-2003, 08:40 AM I was readin a magazine and i came across an artical about which exhaust is the best for a wrx and out of these 12 exhaust's, blitz had the biggest increase in power for the wrx. Just want to know if this was tru. The reason i'm tryin to figure this out is because i kno that theres more than just 12 exhaust's for the wrx. Maybe There are diffrent types of exhaust systems out there that are better than the blitz exhaust system.
providence! 01-23-2003, 08:51 AM the general consensus seems to be that if you're looking for bang for the buck, blitz nur spec axle back is the way to go. however, keep in mind that this is an axle back (2.5" piping to the muffler)- hence, you may not get AS significant HP/torque gains as a full turboback (i.e., 3" or even 4" piping).
dorifto88 01-23-2003, 11:13 AM there are a truck load of exhausts for the WRX, and although i thought the article was cool, i still feel no need for a blitz. It would have been interesting if they tested a Kakimoto, Fujitsubo systems, along with teh JIC titanium...
HongKongBeef 01-23-2003, 01:25 PM hmm. h20 site is very tempting. i bet shipping is still killer though.. especially for those 1 piece exhausts.
dorifto: not 100% certain on the japan/hk thing. i found out about it after the last time i saw u. we might be goin for my sister's graduation present. its not that long though. and i think i have VERY little time to shop for stuff. the only thing i know i need to buy FOR SURE.. is a new silk suit in HK. everything else is secondary. daddy needs some new threads to look good for the honeyz.
