I jsut sold my car and want to buy an Impreza. It will probably be a 95-96 and I'm also not sure if I'm getting the base model or not with the 1.8 rather than the 2.2.

Anyways, my question. I want to turbo whatever engine I get and do not know much about what kind of aftermarket turbos are out there for this car. What do you recommend me doing? Is it better to get a turbo or a supercharger? And how mcuh am I looking to spend? Thanks a lot for any help that is given, you are greatly appreciated.

The amount of miles you have on the car is something that you should also look at. More than likely a car that old will have close to 100k miles on it. Personally a motor that old is not a good candidate to recieve a aftermarket turbo kit. An aftermarket turbo kit costs quite a bit, there are many other costs that go into the car not including the turbo kit. There are other options however... have you thought about motor swap? An USDM WRX motor swap would be a great solution.

Just thought I would throw some ideas at you.

How much am I looking to spend for a motor swap? When Year WRX engines are compatible with the 95/96 impreza? Thanks for your reply
