Hi. Newbie here. I just wanted to know what are the best 1/4 mile times that you can get with the following mods in a wrx:

resonator box removed
perrin catless downpipe
greeddy evo catback exhaust
UTEC with stock stage 2 program

I don't have access to a dyno, so what would be a good estimate of wheel hp? crank hp?

I also wanted to know if a stock wrx will beat a stock s2000 (let's say it's the same driver to avoid the driving skills issue) at the 1/4 mile. If the s2000 beats a stock wrx, what about a wrx with the mods above?A friend has one and I have diven it, butmy wrx feels faster. What has been your experiences racing against s2000?

From driving a friends S2000 I think its faster. Lighter car with a bit more power I believe. Just the impression I got, he completely blew the doors off an IS I was driving. Would have to look at the WRX weight again, but I think the S would take it. No idea about with those mods, Im useless when it comes to that.

Good race, not really sure who'd win. I haven't seen an S2000 at the local track yet doing the 1/4 mile. But the S2000 is pretty badass on the road race course. As far as 1/4 mile times with your mods, depends on driver skill, track conditions, elevation, etc.. Here in HI guys with your mods are running anywhere between 13.8 - 14.2. But the Hawaii track sucks so you'll probably get better times where you're at. HP your looking at about 260 - 270 at the crank. Now go to the track becuz YOUR car goes only as fast as YOU can make it.

Amen Rex,

Once I do Stage IV to my WRX my 2.490 r/t will still kill me. =) Im gonna be the "deer in the headlights" guy the first couple times at the track. =)

When I got my rex I toasted an s2000 and I was bone stock accept for resonator and he had stuff done to his car, at least exhaust, don't know what else. It was ASS close but he was PISSED!!!!!! :)

I'm a honda guy currently and the s2k isn't that great in the 1/4. You don't make any power until around 6000rmp w/ it. It's 0-60ft time is absolutely pitiful. As for a road course it is a great handler but it takes some careful shifting to keep it in that happy vtec range. The rex should beat it at the drag strip.

Should not be a problem to take an S2k unless you drive it poorly. I had a chance to run one at speeds from 60-110 still no problem but I do have the GMK stage 2 package. Stage 3 coming soon! GMK
