View Full Version : Moved into Maryland
Well I finally moved back from Japan. I got a nice surprise when we went and looked at home prices here. Talk about somebody smoking crack! Good lord are homes, townhomes (basically trailor parks tipped on their end) and condos expensive as hell. The wife and I decided to rent a place for a while and then move again sometime next year. Somewhere other then here. I won't even go into what I think of the drivers here. So if one of you live in Columbia let me know.
Jabzilla 01-04-2003, 02:02 PM I'm not in Columbia but pretty close, Arundel Mills area. Perhaps we should a local Subie gathering at Arundel Mills some time.
I'm just a noobie though, just got my 03 a little over a month ago.
Lone Wolf 75 01-05-2003, 08:38 AM I live just up the street in Ellicott City. Welcome to the neighborhood. I do agree that house prices have gone through the roof lately.
whiterabbit 01-05-2003, 12:45 PM im over in EC next to columbia too. I think we are moving over to columbia next year.

99 2.5RS-T and I'm about 10min from the Kings Contrivance shopping center.
keisuke roku 01-05-2003, 06:43 PM welcome back dude, I just got a place of my own in Bethesda, i pay an arm and a leg for a studio. . . Columbia is to far for me for work though. . .
Jabzilla 01-05-2003, 06:50 PM Hey Keisuke Roku, you an Initial D fan too? LOL, I'm always surprised how many of us exist on auto forums.
whiterabbit 01-06-2003, 12:04 AM sweet car
i was just around kings contrivance tonight with another 2.5RST and another WRX trying to find a place to play in the snow.
You wouldn't happen to know of a shop around here that can add the support brace to the Borla header as well as weld on the bung for the A/R sensor and a EGT probe? I might want to get the stock Borla welds touched up as well cause they look like a half ass job. Definately not something I expected from Borla.
whiterabbit 01-06-2003, 06:05 PM i havent any of the shops around here touch my cars. I've had meineke help me out a few times but thats about it.
xenonk 01-06-2003, 11:06 PM Hey Initial D freaks, how are ya all doin? I've been heading down to Potomac Mills to play the Initial D video game, I am sure you have seen a lot of that game in Japan.
Columbia is $$$$, have you checked out a little futher out? Like in another county? There are plenty of empty parking lots to play around in, but it's safer to find a commerial or industrial parking lot to play in. Cops dont like it when I am driving around in a residential parking lot.. (rec parks)... I make too much noise with my BPM twister exhaust.
Do you have a job right now?
Keefe
keisuke roku 01-07-2003, 02:18 PM did you say initial D video game??!?!?!?? lol, i have every song on mp3 and cd. . . and some eps on dvd i love that damn anime, im not 2 sure about the americanized version coming out. . .
I'm only renting now so the price isn't that big a deal right now. I just didn't want to spend $200K on a damn townhome. The choices seem to be a neighborhood you like that you can't afford or a neighborhood you can afford but wouldn't want to drive through let alone buy a home in.
whiterabbit 01-07-2003, 06:29 PM hehe the townhomes across from the Columbia Mall are nice...pretty $$ though.
xenonk 01-08-2003, 01:59 AM Yes, Video Game, goto Potomac Mills Mall to the mini-arcade that they have there. Go play, I'll see you probably next week at the machine!
