i just got a tach with shift light (from girlfriend) and couldn't find a wiring diagram for the tach in the car. All i need to know is what wire sends the signal to the tach that is in the car now so that i can tap into it for my aftermarket one.

the new tach is an autometer phantom series with 4 hookups.

- 12v..........i know how to do this
-ground......and this
-12v only when power is on........know this also
-tach connection........need to know what wire to tap it onto:monkey:

Thats right i solved my own problem the other day at work. Just so the rest of you guys know the correct wire to hook the tach up to is the red wire going into what looks like the speedometer. by the way it looks great ill be sure to take some pictures and post them asap.
