Exeter Subaru in NH is a great parts/info source. They actually know what they're doing and have enthusiests on staff. Talk with Bill in parts (RS-T) or Josh in sales (turbo L). Or see their site...although not all parts are there.. www.subaruwrxparts.com

Once I can wash the salt and grime off my car I hope to do some mellow mods to my car this Spring. Can anyone reccommend a nice looking, mellow sounding cat-back. I want something that looks good, sounds good and adds a couple horses, but won't drone inside the cabin on highway trips. Any thoughts? I read an article on the Turbo mag site that compared like 12 different exhaust systems for performance gains on a Rex, but until you here the thing on another car its hard to tell if its going to sound nice or be annoying to hear for extended periods of time. My friend has the Sti exhaust offered by Subaru, but I am not a fan of the look of it, not to mention its like $800. Also anyone selling the round cross bar kit for the wagon?

You man, you are so s-stupid! That STI exhaust is the bomb! Do you even know what sti is? it's real jdm! Really real! Not that junkie stuff they try to sell you saying it is. Sti is who builds rally cars. That exhaust is the exact same one used on the subaru world rally car. Just cause you can't afford it doesn't mean that it's not better than anything you've ever had. I mean Sti is the best you can possibly get period. Why do you think it costs $892? It's because it's made out of solid titanium! That's right.. titanium.. the same thing that Wolverine's claws are made out of! It adds real HP too, not like cheesy mufflers made by wack japanese companies like HKS or Prodrive. The Sti one adds 10-20 HP but adds a good 20 lbs of torque! And it's made in australia so it's quality, not like those cheesy japanese brands. So before you come on here dissing STI, just remember that It's the best out there, ask anybody.. it's just what it stands for - Subaru Technical Innovations!

DUDE,you could TRY to get a few more facts wrong, but I dont think you would sbe succelsful
STI does NOT build the rally cars
PRODRIVE does(big difference)
STI is NOT the best you can get(although it is very good)
it also doesnt not ANYWHERE NEAR 10-20HP or 20Lbs of torque (sorry man, dynos dont lie) An axle back(which is what the STI muffler section is) adds at the most 3-5 HP on an otherwise stock car, its a sound mod until you are making 300+hp the stock muffler isnt a restriction
And its Subaru TECNICA INTERNATIONAL
and lastly
LEARN FRIKKIN ENGLISH keep the l33t yo homie speak on aol where it belongs

(I am also fairly sure the STI isnt titanium, its stainless but I will verify that later)

jayts76, Not sure how close you are to Quincy but there is a shop on the corner of Water and Franklin streets that is pretty decent. It's called Pro-Spec performance. The guys there own WRX's and they are pretty technical. I got the impression that they are straight-shooters. I think they do installations too.

Umm check your facts before you diss... Prodrive isn't a japanese company, their headquarters are in England. They have been building BMW race cars since 1984... Super Cheesy... Better not get your performance part information from the ricers at Autobahn Performance Group any more. By the way Ocelot your Sti exhaust smells like poo. Oh and I know where you live!

Oh and tell rose I said hello.
