haha you know which route I went!

I didn't want to mess around with extensive mods, plus I have good credit and wanted to finance the whole package at once, so the STi was my choice to replace my totaled WRX (RIP).

and while I intend to modify my STi in the future, they won't be the kind of mods that will could me in trouble...

I'm having fun modding, almost bought an STi, but a.) couldn't justify 33k for the same car, and b.) I figured I'd wait until Sub works the kinks out of the 2.5 turbo.

right now, i'd rather mod my car...

1 - cheaper insurance
2 - it's fun

maybe in a few years, i'll just buy a "fast" car and leave it alone... lol

I don't kno i just got pulled over by chp and he gave me soo much crap about everything, (most of which was legal) i don't kno what would have happened if I had some serious mods on my car. I'm thinking my next one with me a fast stocker

Post Well that depends.

IF you can get a Impreza for cheap/good price then get a swap and make her into monster.

If you want/can a car fast out the box, get a WRX.

I'm really not a fan of the later but they both have their pros and cons.

stock fo sho!!! you lose time, money, and the warranty by making a wrx perform like the STi.

besides, assuming you give the wrx 300hp and make it handle as well as the STi, you still don't have the 6 speed.

this is a definite no brainer.

my STi is fast, handles just fine, the ride is way better, the quality is way higher, it's way more classy, my bumpers don't rust-off, I have a slick 6-speed, an extra half liter, and I paid less...so there....

also...

Insurance doesn't pay you for your mods unless you paid more to insure the mods as well, so cheaper insurance could cost you a lot of money...

fear of getting harrassed for mods gets old quick

yeah sure modding is fun, but thanks to ghey movies, many LEO's have caught on...

33k impreza?? kinks that need working out??? It feels like a million bucks....a completely different car stock-to-stock...smooth as silk no less!

I have really good credit, so the money was cheap, I got the car at 250 over invoice, and our insurance policy costs 1200/yr. for the STi and the GF's car.

OT, but I saw you a couple days ago Dave... You were on Mowry, turning onto mission blvd, right before you got onto niles. Great looking STi bro.
