Aftermarket springs on stock struts?
prodrives are nice on stock struts. pretty damn stiff too. thing is that even these springs make the stock struts feel underdampened.
hey prodrive. stop working on 3k strut setups and come out with something to match your springs, ok?

IMO, i would do it all at once if you are doing a strut and spring set up,say some KYB's and Prodrive springs or if you have the loot get some Teins (i have them and i like em) or some cuscos....
but both coilovers and struts and springs are good ways to go just think of what kind of driving you do and what kind of roads you drive on first...because if you are going to get coilovers later you might as well wait and get em... ( i love my teins EDFC kicks butt)

If you are planning to participate in some form of motorsports but is on a budget, I suggest getting good struts (KYB, STI takeoffs) w/ your springs and install them at the same time (you'll save money this way).
If you are serious about your suspension, get coilovers.
Just putting my $.02 in.

i agree with redrex. i actually had tanabe sustec 210's on my car to start, and it tracked very well. but very stiff. of course now i am happier with my coilovers... and this is mainly because i am a track junky... so yeah..

If you get the Prodrives, they will work well with the stock struts and if you were to get the AGX's later they would work with them, too.
I've got tein s-techs on stock struts, and they feel fine. The best drop IMO, but yeah, like redrex said, if you're serious about suspension, then go with coilovers. Looking back, i wish i went with coilovers...

my view on springs is only do them if your not into driving your car really hard. They work find for daily driving and make the car look great since they lower it but theres no real performance with just springs. Also ride quality with springs/struts compared to coilovers is a big difference. I used to have springs (perrin) on stock stock struts and the performance gain was practically nothing over stock springs. Also i thought the ride quality was good but when i switched to coilovers (hks hipermax 2) my car was a ton stiffer but the ride quality was awesome.

when it comes to turns, the body roll is less, but still can be improved, but they are just springs so for the moneys worth, they are worth it imo.
So would I be better off spending money on springs or RSB and solid endlinks? I want to start autoxing again in the spring and want a decent all around suspension setup. Not to harsh, but want to kill the understeer. RSB and EL's are probably the way to go, but still want to pose the question.
