1991 Toyota Celica GT-S For Sale

Good evening, up for sale is a white 1991 Toyota Celica GT-S Hatchback with blue cloth interior. With a 5 speed manual transmission and 150,256 miles on the car and transmission and 92,456 miles on the motor and clutch. The motor is a 2.2 liter, it has sport bucket seats, sunroof, power mirrors (the drivers side mirror has a chip on the housing and is zip-tied to the door, but still works), passenger headlight is out (easy fix, just a bulb), there are two keys for the car: the original and a new one, a haynes manual is included with the car, as is a diagnosis module & book(plugs into the computer),cruise, A/C (recently charged, charging kit included), power steering (pump/rack are shot, but the car is drivable, you just have to be a bit strong).

The car has an aftermarket stereo, cd-player with amp and speakers, don't know the brands on the amp or speakers, pretty sure the stereo is a pioneer.

The car has ABS (speed sensors are shot), 4-wheel disc brakes, four new toyo proxie fz4 tires (6 months ago) four new struts (6 months ago, have reciepts), two new front axles (6 months ago, have reciepts), all fluids changed. New Radiator/Motor - 90k ago, the rear brakes are new (6 months ago, have reciepts). There may be a title for this car; I need to search some of my records.

The problem is the following: This car was my girlfriends daily driver; a few days ago, it was below freezing, she didn't let it warm up, turned the wheel all the way to the 'lock' position to back out of a parking space and the lines went on the power steering, the pump lost all the fluid, killed the pump, therefore the rack lost its ability to manuever the gears stopped working, and one thing lead to another and WALA, no power steering. We recently brought it to toyota and they gave us the run-around told us it would be 2700 to fix (which is a bunch of BS); I can get the parts for ~1200, but I don't have the time to do the work on this car anymore (parts can be found online).

Long story short, the power steering is shot, the motor has some oil leaks, the timing belt needs replacing, the weather stripping is starting to crack, the intermediate pipe on the exhaust is missing two gaskets and rattles, the A/C holds a charge for ~3 months, the rear defroster doesn't really work very well, the heat takes a while to come on and the transmission has a grind in 2nd and third if you speed shift.

All in all, the car is in pretty good condition, NO major rust, a few dings and dent, one dent up front on the front of the car and thats about it. I don't really have any pictures for this car. But I can tell you that it RUNS AND DRIVES AND I AM SURE it is fixable with some investment of time and money. Would make a great first car. We are looking to get what I invested into the car (new axles, rotors, struts, etc). But we know that will never happen. So all in all.. first 400$ takes it (or best offer).

Call me at 203-856-8193 or email me at gered@optonline.net if you have any questions.

BUYER MUST PICK UP VEHICLE OR HAVE IT SHIPPED; SELLER WILL NOT DRIVE VEHICLE ANYWHERE; GETTING THE VEHICLE IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY.
