Oil temp pegged at 250deg

Oil temp went crazy to at least 250deg, I stopped right away looked at the dipstick at it was bare, I added a 1/2 qt, still bare, then a 1qt and now it looked beyond full. WTH!! drove 2 blocks to local shop now blue smoke coming out exhaust and massive hesitation at the 2 lights I stopped out. The only mod I've done lately was add an AVO oil catch can. When I got to the shop I went to check the oil dipstick with the car running and I had exhaust puffing out of the dipstick area. Any ideas? The shop has been unable to take a look yet due to some sever weather conditions we had this week. I would also like to add that the last oil change I had was about 2000 miles ago, and that I heard no knocking or mettalic sounds. Also no codes in the stock ECU and the car was idling very rough.

37K, but there is no way warranty will cover it with a turbo kit and other mods staring at them in the face.

I've got the car over at Rallitek. Sean Sexton is doing the work. (beyond my skill set)You can see more over at their site in the news section including pics. They will be starting a poll shortly between getting all TWE parts or going with an STI shortblock
