Tue. 1/13/04 11:30am Lunch Meet - (Time to get rid of Aya!)

Hahaha

So I'm taking off for 2 1/2 weeks to go to Japan and Hong Kong starting next Wednesday. Since I won't be seeing you all for a while, let's get together and have a nice lunch! I've been meaning to try this place anyways.

BayWolf
3853 Piedmont Ave
Oakland, CA
510-655-6004

Pricing: Moderate ($16 - $35 per person w/o tax, tip, drinks)

Review: The food has gotten better and better over the years, simpler rather than fussier, as it draws on the marketplace offering ever more naturally delicious ingredients and focuses more directly on Provençal- and Italian-inspired preparations. BayWolf has always had a style of its own: generous, homey, good on meats and duck, great on wines, with a few mannerisms. (Patricia Unterman, food critic and chef/owner of Hayes Street Grill and Vicolo Pizzeria)

NO, NO, NO!! Of all the humanities! What will your harem do in your absence?!

Too bad you aren't going during the time subbie day is scheduled at Buttonwillow or I'd volunteer to take care of your car!

I'll be there! Food is good but get there early because parking can be difficult in that area.

Jason said he'd go, so maybe we can all carpool? (If you can get to where we are, then we can all go together.)

Don't know ya, Aya, but have a fun & safe trip! Seems like EVERYONE is heading to Asia right now. Quite a few of my friends are vacationing over there as we speak. I'm soooooo jealous.
I've always wanted to go to HK & Japan, but I'm not gonna go until I'm certain I have enough ammo ($$$). I'm a BIG shopaholic and can hang with or shame the most seasoned hunnies out there!

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I'll be sure to stay safe, have fun, and take lots of pics.

I wish I had more spending money to take with me as well. However, this trip was planned a bit suddenly about a month back because my grandfather's 90th birthday is coming up, and the call was put out to the entire family to go to HK if they could. I got the time off and decided I 'needed' to swing by Japan since it was on the way and it's my birthday also! So I didn't have much time to save up, but what the hey, while I'm over in that general area, might as well do something I've wanted to do for a long time!

So I'm celebrating my bday in Japan and my grandfather's bday & Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. Woohoo!

Wow Hong Kong!

There are tons of Subaru stuff over there. JDM stuff are usually cheaper in HK than Japan.

Even just Subaru toys and Japan version Best Motoring DVDs are readilly available in HK

France is cool if you stay away from the big cities... the country side is beautiful (not all of it). The Italian and German country-sides are my favs...
