Is that gap in the back just a hole to let air escape through?

well, i wish this is functional too!.

Does anyone know how much does it cost to make this function??

What is the down side?

Because i hear it might leak water or it makes the car weaker and make the roof weaker too??

Screw making that functional man...If you've got AC what's the point. Keep it as is. You are just using it for the looks anyway I wouldn't go thru the hassle of leaks or bugs or leaking bugs.

Looks awesome....Save up for those prodrives!!

It's just a guess, but one downside might be whistling noises or other unpleasant noises at high speeds?

hahhaah, agreed, check out primitive racing for a functional vent. It wont hurt the structual integrity and wont leak if done properly...GO FOR IT

IMO A rally car replica should have a functional hood scoop.

The look is fine already (damn fine at that as I said before) but the form should follow the same function as the vehicular inspiration. You gotta go all out with the rally look. And that means cage, decals, scoops, seats, everything. Can't skimp out on the small details that make it authentic. The decals, lights, hood, wing, etc all look good. But there is some work left to do before it's even close to a rally car 'replica' ... You've got a good start going. Go to primitive and make that vent functional. Then post more pics!
