Are there a lot of scams going on out there for this stuff right now? This seems too cheap (even if it's $80).

No, the momo boot only threads to mom knobs.
If it isn't real... get the paypal buyer protection thinger and then you can get your money back even if the seller refuses.

The seller has 100% feedback, alot from buying, but a few from selling to others.
the metal may be too cold in the winter for his liking.

i honestly think that's a real subaru sti shift knob, mainly because i've seen people sell them on ebay before. The only way u can really tell the diff betwene a real sti and a fake one is in the details. Honestly, people sell oem parts on ebay all the time just because they dont like, like wrx rims, wrx stock suspension and such.
