The kit will be offered by Brembo USA. As of now all I know is it has a target retail of $1500.00 and the kit will include:

Brembo rear calipers
Cross drilled rotos
brackets and hardware
steel braided lines

It should be available in 30-45 days.

We did...but using STI spindles to fit the driveshafts.

How did you compensate for the E-Brake setup if they are STi rotors? Cuz the STi setup on the ebrake is larger then that of the WRX. Is there a sleeve of some sort that fills in the gap between the two? Also how does it affect brake biasing because I believe the STi has a different master cylinder setup from that of the WRX?

Sounds like a good kit though.:)

There's just one serious problem with the Brembo WRX setups.

Price.

At $2,300 or $3,000 (!), Brembo USA's options for the front of the WRX are overpriced. Porsche owners can get bigger Brembo kits at all four corners for under or around $3,000. Why are WRX front-only kits the same price?

A lot of us would buy the Brembo four-corner kit if it was priced competitively with the excellent Stoptech front only kit. Say $2,500-3,000 for all four corners. As it is, Brembo USA wants $3,700-$4,500! That's 20+ percent of a WRX's total NEW value (for just the brakes) and $1,500 more than FOUR-piston "big red" Brembos at all FOUR corners for a Porsche. There's a kit for older 911s with black Brembo four-piston calipers (Boxster-style) for just $999 per axle!

Don't get me wrong, I love (LOVE) Brembo stuff. But the hefty WRX premium makes no sense. Brembo might be making a nice profit on the few who are buying their current WRX kits (I've seen none on the street), but they'd make a lot more money (IMHO) if they lowered the price and sold more kits. The current prices feel like an insult -- smart buyers seem to be buying Stoptechs because the Brembos, while very nice, are simply wasted money. Someone in marketing needs to take a long, hard look at their target market.

Can we get a response from Brembo on this?

if you give me the prints for the brackets i can make them but would you be willing to pay $250-$300 for them?

No. Maybe $150. It's just two pieces of machined aluminum.

if you would go into the machine shop i work in there CNC rate is about $100 a hour more or less depending on the job but that looks like a two hour job but that is if you only want one set if you could get a group buy the price would

$1500 for a rear kit? That's a little steep...

for being a two-pot but if it was a four-pot it might be alittle more understandable

My guess on price was based on what I thought the product was worth, not the actual production cost. That's all.

Where can I get that bracket??? If I can get a hold of a sample bracket the guys that are working on my car would be interested in duplicating it. Although he could give me a definite price, just from looking at the picture he said that he would sell them for ~$150 a set.

The brackets were designed by Brembo for their rear brake kit, and I believe that they are only available with the kit.

Man rear 2pots are just way too expensive to hold any value with me.

In most cases, you are exactly right.
