I just wanted to know who would be interested in an I-Club lunch meet at J- Town on Jan. 24, 2004.
We had a handful of members show up, and hopefully more this time.

Probably meet up at 11 a.m. , have lunch, and do some shopping.

Marshall that lot is ghetto... 12 year-olds smoke weed there in broad daylight and a female friend of mine has been forbidden by her mom to even think of shopping at that Safeway...
But if we do, Turbo Records (K-pop shop) and Safety Zone (great karaoke shack) are nearby :D

Dude i was thinking of the same thing, the thing is you can't really tell its a safeway when you see it in passing, and it LOOKS completely fine from far away........

There's only one parking garage for that mall area. Go in there, head down one level, and then just go all the way to the back where the elevator is (in the middle of the back of the garage) :banana:

As always, I'll be heading to Eggettes after the meet wraps up. Anyone interested? :D

I'm really counting on making this meet. But there's something going on here in Marin that i may have to go to. I told my wife that we would go to a Batmitzva that is happing between 9:30am - 1:30pm.
My wife says it's OK if i want to go into the city instead. But i would still feel bad about it.

Plus the young girl that the things for "might" be happy if i show. Hell knowing kids and how thier minds work, she probably doesn't even remember me.

takara's in japantown. Just go to japantown mall parking garage and head down to the lower level garage and then park in the back with the rest of the subies. And then give someone a call for directions :D I always have to find my way there too...even though i been there twice already :p

Park in the back, walk into the hallway on that back wall, go up the elevator to the lobby, then head straight forward slightly to the right, go through double glass door, then glass door to the right, and then takara will be the 2nd place on the left immediately inside the mall. The first place is a massage place or something.

btw, that +1 for me and JV = our girlfriend/wifes.

this would be confirmed for me if it wasn't so early .... I could be there by 1pm. Man, why you guys getting up early on a Sunday, its not like you're going to church ;)

Okay so just to be safe I made reservations for twenty at 11:30am. I told them that there may be a few no shows, and in that case they could reopen a table or two for other patrons.
So here's the finalization:
Japantown, Takara Restaurant, Miyakko Mall (near the Miyakko Hotel)
This Saturday, reservations for 11:30am. Meet up between 10:30am and 11 (I suppose)
20 seats, empty tables will be given away.

OMG. What did I miss?

We just got home (8:30) , hell I couldn't leave the city without dropping at least 2 bills so she made me take her to Union Square where we walked all the way to North Beach for coffee at The Steps of Rome and then we hit every and IMEAN EVERY store( A large wooden penis sculpture realy caught her eye, but splinters , man!) and market on post street in China Town and then dinner:eek:

Takara was great , their sushi was phenominal!I got my chestnuts and I oogled many prospective school girl uniform models , so I was very sattisfied
