JDM>> FUNCTION BEFORE FASHION, we are inviting all daily driven Japanese cars to this community event in Japan Town, SF on 01.04.04 between 10a-4p. Cars will be staged by Make or by club / team upon request. This is a friendly event for all enthusiasts, your vehicle won't be judged so please be there with a positive attitude. The venue is the Japan Town Parking garage on Webster between Geary & Post, the place is huge, with 450 cars capacity. Please contact geoff_jdm@sbcglobal.net for questions or spot reservations.

Parking's about $1.50 - $2/hour.
I'll probably be a bit late, maybe arrive at 12:30 or so. Unless I can get up for early church service :D

I think they may be dividing the whole place up by type of car so there will probably be plenty of wrx spots.

I was there :) didnt bring the scooby though. Sorry you missed out Edgar!!! I also didnt like it in the garage it was too loud with all the damn car alarms goin off!!! Still alot of nice cars :)

It wasn't so much the subwoofers, car alarms and loud exhausts, it was the smell from all those catless cars that was bad. If this meet was held outside, everything would've been great :D

It was pretty good turnout but I had to jet when everyone started revving and I couldnt breath or see anymore :\ Saw tons of friends there, solid event!

Nice meet! I had lotsa fun, while try to post pics ASAP... got about 6 more exposures on the roll, then gotta scan'em all...
I wonder why those J-town management bastages didn't turn on any ventilation fans for the meet -- guess they wanted to take out all us car-crazy "miscreants" in one shot :D

I think i lost a few brain cells there but it was still a good meet. It was like a free car show. Plus seeing nice daily driven cars with dents and scratches makes me feel better about my car. :)

Cool cars there. I just couldn't hang with the smoke and carbon monoxide. Hehe. Geoff was real happy with the turnout.

I would like to thank everyone for pariticipating in the event. This was an overall positive thing for the Bay Area JDM enthusiasts. I really like how it turned out. The expected crowd planned was 80 - 100 cars, 3 weeks prior I had 200 registered vehicles. With 3 people organizing the event, I honestly think that it was not that bad.

I really apologize for few negative things in the event:
1. The SMOG -- It had to be inside the garage due to FALSE WEATHER FORECAST.
2. The Alarms blaring -- Can't control everyone
3. The poor lighting -- NEXT TIME IT'LL BE OUTDOORS / CLOSED STREET - SUMMER TIME :)
The domestics & the euro ... UMMM I guess they were there to support everybody.
