Hi all still gathering info and reading everyday so I can MOD my 04 STI (former SVX owner and am amazed by the amount of aftermarket parts available), thus far this is what I have compiled.

-------------------------
UTEC - when ready

TBE

Larger Turbo
Larger Injectors
Larger Fuel Pump
Larger MAF Housing

TMIC
--------------------------

In reality all I am waiting for is the UTEC to come out so I can determine the control I will have and therefore which parts/manufature will be best.

I am looking to improve 1/4 times but do not want to kill the low-end pull. Do not want anymore turbo lag than the stock turbo has (is it possiable?) This is part of my continued reseach of which turbo is best for what application.

Lastly some other mods I have come across but not really drive into yet are, New Headers, Bore Pistons, and oil catch can. Should I consider any of these in my project? Why?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, any suggestions about which manufacture i should use or any parts of importance I have missed would be helpful.

Thanks guys!

I guess i misunderstood, thought the full turboback exhaust had the uppipe and downpipe included? My bad I guess. Can you direct me to some reading and pictorals so I can read some more about the topic thanks!

You're right, turbo-back exhaust has a downpipe, but you'll still have to get an uppipe. As far as installs are concerned, check out scoobymods.com

Up pipe on an STi is a waste of cash. The stock uppie does not have a cat. I doubt that you would pick up much with another uppie.

replace the manifold, larger Injectors, larger fuel pump, aftermarket EMS, larger turbo, and maybe FMIC :)

The only time you should change the uppipe is if you run a header and it comes with it in the kit.

I'd say an EBC, a header, downpipe, exhaust and turbo upgrade will get you started. You'll need 850cc injectors, fuel pump and a MAF housing upgrade to make the new turbo work. A FMIC is highly recommended as well.
