saw this on ebay.

does this piece just replace the silencer piece allowing you to keep the intake snokel? was reading the description of the item but was a little confused. read some threads saying that you can just get air from the fender but i'd like to keep the current intake minus the silencer. the price of the item is a rip off! i'm sure there is some kind of flex tubing that will do the same thing. anyone have any other suggestions on what to use to connect the air filter box to the snokel.

thanks:)

It looks effective, but I'm sure there's a cheaper alternative.

Forget connecting any thing to the air box after the silencer is removed! Any thing other than a venturi will not net any horsepower gains. If a venturi piece is installed you run the same risk of a cai ( pos, lean condt). I have a cai and have not expericenced any lean condt. but others have.

Couldn't you just make your own for cheaper? Doesn't seem too hard.

just chop it, what difference is it going to make if you have the elbow or the cut resinator. You will be getting air from outside the car either way, and cutting the resinator will be cheaper ( $0 ) compared to buying something
