I seen this auction on E-bay that says you can achieve (3 psi and 45 hp with one simple mod STI Power) the person charges you $2 to tell you how. Does anyone know what this person is doing, and how to do it? and is is safe

Here is the link

sounds like bs to me..if anything its the restrictor mod, instructions to make a mbc and or advice to swap out your uppipe and stock catback

The ad even sounds like that spam you get about getting a bigger penis without creams, pumps or pulley..lolz!!

Just sit on this club for a while and get some good advice from the people who are actually making proven power

Holy cats. A group buy on some BS. :)

Go buy a book on tuning. Yeah, at $14 it's awfully expensive.

its not really a group buy, its actually a group scam b/c we are all sharing one product behind the sellers back. remeber...what he is selling is instructions...not a product, if it was a product it would be hard to do, but he is email us insturctions on how to do somehting that is supposed to get us more HP...for 50 cents each i really dont think we can go wrong...

whats so wrong with us trying something out for the benefit of other group members. Would you rather see 1 member waste $10 on a useless thing or 20 members waste 50 cents on a useless product.

I'm starting to get the idea that you're not joking after all.

I can see we are all a bunch of tight asses. None of us want to shell out $2 to benefit the cause.

LOL

Please tell me you guys are kidding about actually buying this guys crap. From what I hear it's just the pulled hose mod. Yeah lots of boost for a minute until the ecu sees what's going on and cuts boost and throws a CEL. Have at it guys-James

Those electronic turbo fans are junk. You can buy them at Napa auto parts for $20. I put one on my BMW M3 and it made the performance worse. It almost suffocated my car it was so bad it stalled once. It’s a POS. The cars original intake took in more air without the fan then with it.

What a knob... I nominate that eBayer for the "Biggest Douche in the Universe" award...

(I'm sure he'd beat out Jonathan Edwards!)

I actually did this mod myself. What you actually buy is directions to pull apart two hoses that takes your stock boost to max boost.
This will take you to around 17psi, which is way too high for stock. You will hit a serious boost spike in 3rd 4th and 5th gear, resulting in fuel cut out. It scares some serious crap out of you! I thought i broke something, thank God i didnt! This mod sure is fun in 1st and 2nd though, but not recommended. Crap....

Here's the "pulled hose mod". Disconnect the hose the arrow points to. Don't use full throttle in the higher gears at low rpm, or you'll get a CEL. It's fun, but ghetto.
