Most who have tried them like them. But the "best" suspension for you may be different than for someone else. What exactly do you intend to do with your car?

I'm leaning toward's this (currently sitting on my garage floor) for my daily driven '02 Sedan. My goal is better than stock handling, without sacrificing ground clearance or adding too much NVH on the (crappy) Northern AZ roads...and occasional offroads.
Ver. 8 STi Spec C take offs.

Brent, those are going to be pretty stiff, but they certainly will improve the cushy soft stock handling. Nice pickup!

Yeah, I'm kinda having second thoughts in that I should have just got the softer sprung STi units vs. the Spec C's.

Ah well, that's the beauty of take-offs: if they're too stiff for my tastes, I can always resell 'em and pop the original units back on. Then again, another option might be to find a used set of US'04 STi springs to load onto these struts.

Other options I've looked at (still considering) include Rally Length/Street Valved DMS 50's or Tein Type HG's.
I may eventually end up with one of these setups as I just can't seem to resist the gravel.

Since you haven't mounted the set yet, changing springs would be easy. I've seen several sets of STi springs for sale, so they shouldn't be too hard to find. Good luck with the search.

Where did you get them and how much? PM me please. I'm always looking for new suspension ideas. My current plans are either Cusco Zero2R's or Tein Type RA's. I'm not concerned about cushiness (hence the RA's) but nothing beats OEM (even J-spec tuning house OEM) for your car.

I picked them up from Jeff at Chaste automotive http://www.chasteauto.com/ . I also would not hesitate to get them from Rallispec. Both have been great vendors in my dealings with them...

Plan on mounting them up next week over the holiday break...another car wash (or two) needed to get off all the mud grabbed while at Ramada Express Rally last week.

you want the best? Get CUSCO suspension components. But your car will be so stiff that you will hate them so much. hahahhaa

Cusco zero2Rs, or TEIN RAs both are hardcore coilovers made for track use.

For street, you can settle for something less comparable w/ Tein Super Street or Basic coilovers or Cusco Zero1s or 2s.

koni vs STi struts

i have prodrive springs and the factory struts are not up to task. It seems there is a lack of dampining. My car is daily driven. I have 18's in the summer. The ride gets harsh of bumps. I want a sporty but unharsh ride.

What do you guys think are a better choice Koni inserts or STi take struts? I know koni's are easily adjustable so koni gets +1.
Anything STi is hot, so STi gets +1. Please chim in if you know or have experianced the difference between the two and which ones are better.

THanks
