works very good



uniden is a pretty good brand. shop around and know that sometimes a little more money spent can mean a lot nicer piece. don't get one that you can only program in ten or so channels, that will get on your nerves fast.

Also check your local laws on this one, in many states and localities it is illegal to have one in your car without a permit or legitimate reason (volunteer fireman, EMT etc.)

Yeah, that is true. It is along the similar lines of the radar detectors. I know that in some states radar detectors are illegal. I believe that radar detectors are illegal in NY. At least that is what I was told.

RadioShack used to sell them, not sure if they do anymore...
