MY02 was notorious for having grooved front rotor surfaces...

did SoA address it for the MY03?

I'm pretty sure it's still the same. Unless they changed pad compounds. Grooves actually don't hurt the braking performace. They'll actually help a little. Don't worry about it, unless your rotors are getting warped.

I read somewhere that the MY03's have a different part # for the brake pads (FWIW).

How do the grooves help brake performance? Increased surface area? We're not talking about slotted rotors here :-)
