I personally dont think it would be hard. It would be just like the swap you did to put EJ25 in.

wiring alone.

If you think you can do it, you're looking at over a week a swap.
YUCK.
Now if you're running a TECH system, then it's pretty easy to go from one engine to the other. You can leave the wrx cross member in there with the 2.5 with slight exhaust modifications.

the wiring is a freaking nightmare. I really would stay with a ej20 and get a 2.5sti short block on it.

it's the best of both worlds.

Granted it would save you some time during the second half, as you would know what wires you had cut spliced and added. But seriously it would be very unpleasent to do a reverse swap.
