New Buyer! Where Is The Best Place To Buy? Need Your Experience!
Hey
I have the 02 S2000, I am planning to get a 04 WRX STI this month. I am located in Los Angeles area. I have coupe questions for all WRX or STI owner.
Brand New 04 WRX STI
1. What is the best price out of the door?
2. What is the option that deal gave you free included?
3. Where is the best place to buy and who is the sales rep.?
If you have any other more info, please post up. I am happy to look forward to all of your replys.

I'm not sure about the STI, but I just recently got my 04 WRX (sept) at Irvine Subaru, right off the 5Fwy. I emailed them about an internet price and the sales rep gave me the car for Invoice. $23,1xx. The next day, I went down there and bought it. It was a base model of course, no extra options. Nothing.
I purchased it from Jeremy Dugan. It's a family owned dealer and Jeremy is the son of the owners. Ask for him, he's a really cool guy and though he may look young and all, he'll hook it up. Plus, they've got the largest selection of WRX/STi for miles. I've looked around and nobody really compared to them as far as cars in stock.
Hope this helps!

I went to the Morovia Subaru today, the sales told me MSRP + Tax is my out of the door price. I saw the www.kbb.com, 04 WRX STI invoice is $29,130.00. How much should I offer if I go down to Irvine? Also if I go there, I would tell him that you referral me to come.

Check out edmunds.com True Market Value indicator. It will give you and idea of invoice and cost of the vehicle in YOUR area. It also shows what other people are paying in your area for the same car.
They've never heard of me so referring wouldn't do any good

Check out www.carsdirect.com and punch in the details for the STi you want. Try and aim for somewhere around that price.
I bought an '04 WRX (not STi) from Timmons Subaru in Long Beach, and got a good deal / had a pretty hassle-free experience.

Hey Bryant,
One thing I would consider is that the STI does not come with a stereo system and there are certain mods that make it less appealing for everyday driving like the tires which are amazing for racing but cant hack it in the rain and then only are good for about 6 - 8000 miles. The STi also does not come with a stereo and has thinner glass to keep the wait down.
What I plan on doing is buying a WRX and then the difference that you saved on buying the WRX over the STi about 6-7000 dollars put in a larger turbo and a few other simple mods and you can actually get the WRX to run faster then the stock STi. You will lose the ability to manual adjust the slip differential and things like that but just a thought.

Make sure you save some $ for beefing up that tranny. Adding some extra HP to the engine will be nice, but it'll destroy the stock WRX tranny. At least that seems to be the word on various forums.
You sure about the 6k-8k mile rating for the Potenza RE070s? I thought they are supposed to be good for 15k-20k.
I wish I could talk myself into the WRX... I'd save a ton of $ and I won't have such a huge wing on the back, but the STi is too sweet...
