EJ22/EJ25 headers

EJ22/EJ25 headers
I've been looking at headers for my 2.2 motor. My Question is, the borla headers for the EJ22 don't look like they would fit my motor. At the point were the exhaust ports meet the manifold, there looks like there are 2 tubes that join into 1 immediately after the ports. The borla header shows 1 tube coming out of the port. Also, the bolt patterns don't match, the stock manifold has 3 bolts holding it to the engine, but the borla only has 2. Does this mean I should get the header for the 2.5?

Wouldnt the EJ25 headers have the incorrect specs for your 2.2L? You would probably lose power instead of gain by putting on headers designed for a 2.5L. Let us know how you go as i am also getting headers onto my EJ22 in the next few weeks from MRT, though ive heard the Borla's give a mean sound

What kind of car do you have and what year?
p.s. I put the borla headers on my 2.2 legacy with an intake and a catback. the car sounds hella mean and really gives that good boxer sound. I LOVE EM. I bet you'll be satisfied as well

whitelegacy98 did you notice much of a difference when you got your headers? I have a Legacy 92' 2.2L(non-turbo) with pretty much the same set up as you, 2.25" cat-back and short ram. I am wondering if you noticed a difference powerise because i am getting my MRT header very soon.

I got my exhaust, intake and headers in a stage kit so they were all at the same time but there definately was a difference, though not drastic it was certainly present and the sound of all the parts is AMAZING.
