So i was looking around and i found this site http://www.xcceleration.com/ and they claim that you can have 430 hp to the wheels with only their piggy-back chip, remote switch, rampod intake, hi-performance turbo back exhaust system and custom equal length header system. They have a dyno graph but i find it hard to belive that i can get 430 at the wheels with only 3,800 dollars. I am new to STIs so please tell me if i am wrong. Just wondering what everyone thinks about this and if those numbers are to be trusted. I called the company and they said the whole engine and drive train can take this added horsepower, but the clutch will give out after a while, and that is it. They also claim a 0-60 of 3sec with just this pack and a new clutch.

Ummm... is this for a WRX? Sounds like it's for a Z28....
You can't even get 430 at the crank on the stock STi turbo.

Go throught the link, it says that you get 430 for the STI with just those ugrades, i callled them and they said that that is right. Sounds very fishy to me, 430 hp on stock injectors, pump, turbo, and boost? That is a tone of power to have bottled up in the intake and exhaust system. But if i am going to spend 3,500 on motor upgrades what should i do? I was think up and down pipe, cat-back, FMIC, ECU....dont know what else. But what are the best of these products, not counting money or sound, just prue performance. But the other thing is that i want to retain my cats, not the original ones, but i dont want to pay that huge fine if i get pulled over.

The site says its 430 flywheel hp....big difference. That might is more realistic, I guess. I'm looking to get an STi and would also like to know what mods are available and how the motor will handle them.
Good luck.

So 430 is actually a realistic number from those mods, with stock injectors and a stock turbo?

Well, I suspect they aren't lieing so much as massaging the truth. After all, they want to sell product. I'm sure those items will increase the power, by how much, who knows? "Your results may vary" is a common out for the seller.

No, claiming unobtainable horsepower figures from the stock turo is not "massaging" anything. It's simply not possible.

That place is WAY expensive. 1199 for a turbo XS utek, everywhere else is 999. Go to Vivid for better prices on all the well known brands.

Tell them to pass the blunt, cause their boogin!
APS got 411 crank hp with a sr-50, FMIC, Unichip, fuel mods.
All of the VF series T/C are maxed out at 350 bhp and are pushing hot air to an I/C that cant cope with it.
