hey guys- I'm 'bout to do the old stereo color swap. While I'm at it--I've seen pics of cars that have lights behind the AC vents. How do you get that look?

whatever dudes. But I saw it on a wrx. I thought it was on this forum. I've never seen them before at all, or on any other ricy vehicles with them, I thought they looked good cause I saw them on a wrx. Maybe they are kind of ricy. You should post a pic if you know where you've seen one, so I can see for myself. Thanks

I am sick of hearing this is rice and that is rice....all from people that used to call big wings rice but will still put sti stickers on their cars and big wings when they aren't sti's? and arent of any use?

Man if you want freaking lights in your car do it.

now when you start adding neon rope around the entire interior or your car...then maybe pull the rice card....

but for something like this...who cares.

My bet is that the car that you saw had LED's wired inside the vents.

I don't think the lights behind the AC vents are all that ricey. Then again, they're not really useful either ;)

I did it actually! haha its really easy... I just went to A&A, and got a pack for 4 LED's popped apart my dash and secured them down in the vents. I just wired them all into my cigarette lighter
You can put them anywhere you want them in there.. and they look pretty nice at night too

do it! it will be cool, maybe i will do it to, nothing wrong with a little lighting accent, its not like its underglow neons or anything
