we all like to do a hard launch every once and while right?
my friend has a RSX-s and he lauches it at 6k eery time he goes to the 1/4 (bleh)
of course the clutch was gone by 20k miles.
he brought it in and the mechanic said he he would not put it under warrenty if he kept red linin the car
my friend said he forgot to clear the tach memory

do suby's have a tach memory?
i've noticed my clutch getting worse over past few months adn i eventually want to bring it to the dealer for warrenty. but will they know i keep redlingin the car? (i don't launch from red line, thats crazy)

and if so
how do i get rid of the memory of the car

From what I know, it is pretty easy to tell if the clutch has been slipped a lot simply by looking at the plates. Of course you can't do this until the parts are out. IMO, you'd be lucky to get one that has obviously been launched covered under warranty. A clutch is a wear item like brake pads and would not be covered under warranty unless parts are defective (ie, clutch shudder). You can always try to get it covered, but you run the risk of the dealership doing the work for a fee once they pull the parts.

I have never heard of a "tach memory". Perhaps they were pulling the information from the ECU?
