I'm looking into getting a set of Rota battle wheels. I live in an urban area with a fair amount of potholes around. Would going with a budget wheel like Rota be a bad choice? Have these wheels warped or cracked on anyone?

The battles are virtually indestructibe and can handle much more abuse than the subzero.
Don't worry about them.

How about the SDR's? How strong are they?

I have seen the SDRs on Suby Dude's car and from the looks of the them. The wheels seem to be really beefy.

So far my 17" sub-zero's are rock solid. 1 track day, 2 scca solo II's, umpteen potholes (road to work sucks) and they are still in perfect condition.
All for 500-600 bucks a set.

Yea, the Tarmac's and the Battle's are probably Rota's strogest wheels. I've have heard of 1 or 2 Subzero's bending, but in general Rota makes an awesome wheel.
