JSTTURBO 12-21-2002, 06:18 PM What headres is hot now???
Is Borla still a good choise for a RS-T ???
Is ther another good headers in a market for RS-T???
I need a headers and i need the best one!!! Please help me!!!
hayscoob 12-21-2002, 10:53 PM It's spelled header. As for a brand, I think MRT and Borla make them. Both are pricey however. MRT costing much more.
Paul...
BongMan 12-23-2002, 12:47 AM I think the TWE header is the best. Hard to say, no dyno pulls.
However, borla is crap. Dyno power of nil.

the picture of the t66 upgrade displayed has the headers attached to them.
However, not many people have them.
I've got the Borlas waiting to go on my car so no real opinion of them yet.
Giamilton 12-27-2002, 05:29 PM The Borlas are good and they have the "million mile" guarantee (sp?)
Rallitek.com has a good price or you may want to purchase from inside Canada to avoid tariff hassles.
By the way, your spelling isn't bad for french being your primary language. :)
fatcatturbo 01-03-2003, 05:42 PM what kind of headers do you have on there now? Did you need so swap ure crossmember in order for the dp and up to work?
Giamilton 01-04-2003, 11:15 AM These are 4th Gen direct bolt-in no "adjustments" needed headers.. :) buy with confidence, however some "sale" Borlas are the 3rd Gen , ask your vendor.
fatcatturbo 01-04-2003, 11:33 AM so ure saying with the Borla 4th gen headers there is no need to swap out the Xmember in order to make the up and dp work properly with the headers? On the wrx, the headers go foward instead of heading to the rear like the RS, thus needing the wrx Xmember to make the headers bolt up properly, fitement of downpipe properly...fitement of uppipe properly....etc.
I'm getting a support bracket added for the Borlas I have because I need it to support the up pipe, turbo and downpipe without risking cracking a weld on it.
fatcatturbo 01-04-2003, 04:24 PM i still don't understand how the borla's fit with a turbo....the design of the Borla's is for naturally aspirated, correct?

they fit in the stock location, therefore will work for aftermarket turbo kits that were designed for use with the stock headers. Other headers do not fit into the exact stock location, and therefore won't work.
The WRX crossmember has a notch in it to allow for the exhaust manifold to go around the front and up through this notch with the up pipe. The RS-T setup goes around to the rear where the stock cat is located and then uses a up pipe to go to the turbo and then a down pipe to route the exhaust back down. Thats basically the difference. That and a WRX aftermarket exhaust manifold costs more then twice that of the Borlas for the RS.
Tchsssss 01-06-2003, 08:02 AM hehe... just to clear up guys:
you dont put "headers" on a 4 cyl... you put a header. when youre talking about v6 and up engines, with separate groups of cylinders, you will need header+S.
