IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 01:57 AM This guy puts whatever I've done on a sport bike to shame! gpatmac 10-24-2003, 02:18 AM Imagine someone trying that at HRP. Sti-nkinPhast 10-24-2003, 03:01 AM that guy is like on 2^2 cm rubber contact patch and on the brink of traction ! :D BoOm 10-24-2003, 03:43 AM i wonder what would happen if his kneepads caught the ground......would he just fly? IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 03:52 AM Knee Pucks. :) IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 03:52 AM The real badasses have 'em on their elbows too. BoOm 10-24-2003, 04:04 AM Originally posted by IS2Scooby The real badasses have 'em on their elbows too. the real badasses don't need no suit! shirt and shorts, local style! IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 04:09 AM No... Those are the stupid ones. I wrecked in shorts/windbreaker. Let me tell you - it wasn't pretty, OR bad ass - and it definitely proved how STUPID I was at 21 years old! :( BoOm 10-24-2003, 04:10 AM Originally posted by IS2Scooby shorts/windbreaker :( :( for fashion king IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 04:14 AM Hey - it was 1993, that was "in". :D BoOm 10-24-2003, 04:17 AM come to think of 1993....mighty mighty bosstones - someday i suppose.... rem - man on the moon smashing pumpkins - today and rem. CUZZZZZZ EVERYONEBODY HURRRRRRRRRRRRRTS that was a great year for music IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 04:22 AM True that! P.S. Are you drunk? :p BoOm 10-24-2003, 04:27 AM nope, not drunk just buzzed. dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:27 AM ah, Ben Bostrom -- looks like either Road Atlanta or VIR. moto-heros like ben can actually save a front end slide with those knee pucks, mere mortals like myself drag them at the entry to a corner as sort of a lean angle gauge, and then pick them up just a hair. i'm going to have to go find the photo of mem with my elbow and inch or two off the ground now... I watched Nicky Hadden pull a 180 mile an hour wheely comeing out of the last turn suzuka. On bad ass mother! IS2Scooby 10-24-2003, 01:23 PM DM is right... It's Ben Bostrom. :) Speed Element 10-24-2003, 01:57 PM how about this knee draggin action? Tommy www.mpjperformance.com dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 02:06 PM that's gotta be out of the Brit Mag "Fast Bikes" those guys are nuts. that's just the sort of stunt they'd pull! WRX-Zero 10-24-2003, 02:24 PM Originally posted by MPJ Performance how about this knee draggin action? Tommy www.mpjperformance.com LOL! Now that is some knee draggin! dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 08:33 PM there are actually photos somewhere (i'll see if i can find them) of a guy in a sidecar rig dragging his head. sidecar monkeys will actually have sliders sewn onto the seats of their leathers, as well as the knees. dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 08:49 PM okay, no helmet dragging as yet... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:30 PM i couldn't resist a couple more... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:32 PM and here is why you probably don't want to be the monkey on a sidecar... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:33 PM 2... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:34 PM 3... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:35 PM 4... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:35 PM 5... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:36 PM 6... dropkick_muppet 10-24-2003, 10:37 PM 7... IS2Scooby 10-25-2003, 03:51 AM Holy Canoli! Zoeb2s 10-25-2003, 10:57 AM damn thats crazy dropkick_muppet 10-25-2003, 03:09 PM it's debateable who got it worse in that crash. notice that the driver was UNDER the sidecar, while the monkey got catapulted over the top. sidecar drivers and monkeys are a special breed unto themselves. DLUX WRX 10-25-2003, 08:58 PM i would love to see check out the tires on these bikes after a race. i bet the edges are completley fryed. dropkick_muppet 10-26-2003, 02:02 AM i've destroyed more sets of motorcycle race tires than i care to think about. one day at t-hill, i nuked a set so badly that they weren't symetrical anymore. the left hand side was beveled off really badly, and both sides had rubber balled up on the edges. some guys spin the tires enough to put grooves in them.
