View Full Version : opinions on Subaru Giken? ascelon 11-22-2002, 06:14 AM what is your opinions on the company and their body kit products? stealth-wrx 11-22-2002, 09:45 AM i love their rally front bumper. i always wanted it but it cost too much for me. ImprezaRSDriver 11-22-2002, 10:26 AM Simple truth is that there stuff is really expensive. But really good quality is what I am told. ascelon 11-22-2002, 11:13 AM but cheaper than the actual prodrive parts? :) FuJi K 11-22-2002, 12:44 PM they do have some pretty nice parts. Some parts arn't that pretty but to some it may. Choku Dori 11-22-2002, 03:33 PM I like their stuff, but I don't like their prices hehe. Their site's a blast too! LDragon 11-25-2002, 05:33 AM nice site, high prices, nice looking products too, high prices :D 128d 11-25-2002, 03:56 PM I personaly think you get what you pay for. Not only do their products look nice but they are also functional. Choku Dori 11-25-2002, 04:16 PM Originally posted by 128d I personaly think you get what you pay for. Kinda like STi and Prodrive hehe... well, functional and built with excellent workmanship as well :D Impreziv 11-25-2002, 09:10 PM If you have the money to spend, then its money well spent :) Lobster Man 11-28-2002, 02:40 PM Originally posted by Impreziv If you have the money to spend, then its money well spent :) Yup, they're definately quality pieces, but pricey. Subaru_Hag 05-08-2003, 09:42 PM My Opinion is that a Subaru Giken front Bumper is Impossible to get in North America. I sent $1000.00 to BOzz PERFORMANCE in 45499 Industrial Place Unit #2 Fremont, CA 94538 USA http://www.bozzperformance.com This was in late January 2003. It is now May 9, 2003 and I never received what I have paid for. My advice is that until Subaru Giken gets a "real" importer in the U.S. or Canada that you do not try to buy a Giken part or piece as my experience is that they take your money and ship nothing. I am not calling them thieves... I am just saying that 4 months is an unrealistic time to wait for a part that I paid for in advance. Especially considering the lack of communication from Bozz! Good Luck Choku Dori 05-11-2003, 12:38 AM Originally posted by Subaru_Hag My Opinion is that a Subaru Giken front Bumper is Impossible to get in North America. Good Luck Erm, I think Alex (Imprezer) works there... have you tried speaking with him? I'm sure he'll clear things up. Best of luck, post pics when you get your beautiful front end. Also, did you consider www.takakaira.com ? WRC STYL 05-11-2003, 01:29 PM subaru hag, give them a break, you have no idea what it is like to order stuff from japan. It could take many months. On something like that you need the customer to pre-pay so you can order it. I have ordered many things from Border racing where i work at and it takes at least 2 months if not 6 or 8 months. Its something we all have to deal with. Bozzperformance is a great company doing us all a favor, importing parts from japan that most companys dont. Sometimes customers forget that it is also a service not a job. I am sure you will get it and love it. good luck Subaru_Hag 05-11-2003, 02:18 PM Originally posted by WRC STYL subaru hag, give them a break, you have no idea what it is like to order stuff from japan. Bozzperformance is a great company doing us all a favor, importing parts from japan that most companys dont. Sometimes customers forget that it is also a service not a job Ummm I was quoted 2 months at purchase, when i submitted my order to Bozz Performance. I believe 4 months is enough slack, patience and tolerance… Retailers are not altruistic philanthropist. They do the job because they make “mark-up.” They are not “non-profit” establishments. Money is why all businesses exist. What are the words from that JLo song…. “Everybody’s got to make a living.” The perk from working in the high end performance internet retail sector is you get to meet people from that sector and see the products that intrigue you everyday. You making excuses for someone who does the job badly cheapens it for all consumers. It also is not fair to good retailers in this sector who do their best to serve people and make an honest living. There are good retailers out there… Tirerack does an Incredible job!!! I have had great experiences with http://www.fastwrx.com and Eddy Coopmans’s (CC-B AUTOMOTIVE) have been very helpful on occasion If it takes someone 6 months to get a part from Japan.. I am sorry there really is a problem! I just ordered a wing from MRT Rally Australia.. this may shock you but it look just under 30 days to get it here to Canada and the shipping was under $200.00 Excuses are exactly that… Excuses, and even without your help Bozz seems to be able to make those on their own. The shipment has taken more than 3 weeks to clear customs, I am told. That usually means the company (Bozz) needs to find the money to pay the import duty and shipping charges. If they are running a retail business and can’t manage their money it is not fair to any of their customers to force them to wait. They spent the money I gave them 4 months ago… Universally in most retail trades/sectors you accept a 25% deposit till the item arrives domestically then you alert the customer then receive the balance owing and then ship to your customer. If the customer has changed their mind you keep the 25% and sell the product to someone else… If it is unfair of me to complain about not receiving what I paid for after 4 months then when for “god sakes” would it be acceptable to you? 6 months? 8 months? A year???? I am not trying to insult you but maybe you should look at someone else’s perspective! Thanks for your input! WRC STYL 05-12-2003, 09:45 AM you just compared tirerack to subaru giken. Bozz is on the time table of giken. Most companies over seas make a certain amount of a product for a certain time, but do they tell you that. All i tried to say is that you dont realize the behind the scenes stuff that goes on. |
