'03 ts and new hood w/ scoop

'03 ts and new hood w/ scoop

hey guys.

i know that the wrx hood is lighter then my ts hood, so if i upgraded to one of these how could i make the scoop functional rather then just sucking air in for no reason? i would dig the look, but would want it to be doing something as well...

any thoughts, ideas, or who has done this?

i to have been looking for a black wrx hood...if and when i get one I'd buy a reverse hood scoop to vent hot air out of the engine bay...thereby making it 'functional'!

Opening up the scoop does make it 'functional.' You would have the same airflow through the scoop as a WRX would. This cooler air will flow over the top of the engine, the airbox, the throttle body, part of the intake manifold, and the gearbox, helping to cool things off.
