I've got a 2002 wrx wagon.
Was thinking about getting the OZ Superleggeras in 17
Should the rim be 17x7?
Should my offset be 48?
Can I use the 225 45 17's or will it rub
I have just the factory suspension.
So what weel specs am I looking for and what tire?

Please email me at rudedogsurfrat@cox.net

If they have a 48mm offset, you may have a rubbing issue when cornering hard or with a lowered suspension depending on which tire you use. From what I've heard, you want at least a 50mm offset. For most 225's the ideal rim size is 7.5" but it is within the range. I'm planning on picking up a set of Kumho MX's in 225/45/17 for my P7's. They are about average for a 225 (8.9") but I think with the 52mm offset I should be fine. I know the ideal tire size for a 7' wheel is 215 but I don't want my speedo to be that far off (3-5%).

I met someone with a lowered wagon who had 225/45/17 Nitto's on his wagon and doesn't have a rubbing issue. He has the 5Zigen Fighter 17x7.5 wheels which have a 50mm offset.

Well how about if the wagon is not lowered? will they not rub then?

The OZ Superleggeras will fit on the wagon but I recommend that you run a 215/45R17. That is the ideal setup because you do not have the generous fender gap that the sedans have. With the factory suspension you will be fine.

Do not forget that every tire is different. Just because two companies both make 215/45R17s, this does not mean that their overall measurements are the same.

HMMM.
See I'm worried about the 215s because I don't want a big gap in my wheel wells. I plan to keep a stock suspension. I need the clearance

If you need the clearance, then go with the 215/45R17. It is understandable has to you wanting to reduce the fender gap between the tire and the car.

If you like the Superleggeras, then go with this
17x7 48-55mm offset (this is wheel is 48mm, I believe) and run a 215/45R17 and you will be just fine with the stock suspension.

Yup, there's one in my area with basically the same set up, except he used to have coil overs.
