Question 2004 WRX for $24,700. Good deal?

What do you think... $24,700 + tax/title/tags for a WRX sedan with the premium package, auto dimming mirror, short throw shifter, upgraded security, upgraded stereo/subwoofer, turbo gauge, arm rest extension, 100 miles. Color is Java Black Pearl. The only thing that bothers me is the 100 miles. I can basically get any WRX on the lot for $750 under invoice, and the dealer options are also at invoice. I might look at some other ones that have less "Demo" miles. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Forgot... It's a manual also.

Yeah... I have pretty much decided that I am not getting the one w/ 100 miles. I think I am going for one with under 10 miles in blue or black and the premium package. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will definitly post it once I get it. Hey downshift... it's $24,700 + tax/title/tags. I live in Pennsylvania and the tax is 6% so it would be roughly $26,200 or so. Does yours have a the premium package with the sunroof, heated seats, etc? Ideally I am looking to get one with just the premium package, then add the short throw shifter, gauge, and so on aftermarket. I can get the base WRX with Premium Package (Moonroof, spoiler, heated seats, heated mirrors, heated wiper elements) for $23,634 + title/tax/tags. It would also have less than 10 miles on it as well. I like some of the Greddy gauges and I think I would rather have one that reads in PSI. I have also heard good things about the Cobb short throw shifter. Sorry for the rambling, and thanks again for your comments.

yea rock, thats good, tax in california is 8%. but u are still getting a good deal for ur car.. but if u want to get the premium package, and its gona costs 26,200 around there totally.. thats a good deal. but if u get premium package with heated seats and all those moonroof and all those luxury goodies, u will be adding addional luxury weight, the heated seats, moonroof will add extra weight, but if u want ur car to be more luxury then go for it. for me. i got the short throw shifter because its part of the tranny warranty. if seomthing goes wrong i got it under warranty, but if u get an aftermarket short throw, u may void your warranty since the shifter is part of the tranny. i got the turbo gauge cause it looked good and wasnt a factor in the cost since it was just added in for free, a base wrx vs a base wrx+guage would be the same price anyways at my dealer. and the spoiler was the same situation. so for me i wanted as little weigh as possible, thats why i bought the SEDAN WRX vs the wagon, and i got short throw for speed, im more into racing. there for i want less weight with good racing attributes.

if u want to race and have warm seats that good too, but remember, my car will be faster my set up is more raced out than ur heated seats and moonroof depends, u want to lean towards luuxury, premium package is good, u want t o lean towards racing, dont get a moonroof. for a racer its all about less weight and more power. =) either way u got good deals. real good.

just remember gettin aftermarket parts will void warranty and warranty is money... so remember u want to make sure ur car is running perfectly fine for the first at least 10,000 or more miles before u want to start modding it, because it would suck. if u modded ur car at 8000 miles and then something went wrong with ur car because of factory error. then ur warranty wont back you up, you will ahve to pay lets say 4000 for a new tranny or something, so remember, u want to keep ur car bone stock for a good amount of time so its worth ur 26 grand.

Thanks downshift. I am not too concerned about the additional weight... I basically want an all wheel drive performance sedan so the few pounds added by the moonroof, etc probably won't matter to me. The car is going to be used for commuting and daily driving and I do not have any plans to do any racing, etc but you made a good point to consider. I may go with the factory short throw for the warranty reasons that you brought up.

cali is having exellent deals on wrx. i was there over the summer and went to take a look at the wrx. they were selling them at $21,000 flat, plus 8% tax($2,000), plus the premium package. comes out to about $24,000. cause the economy there is in the toilet, thats why theyre having such good deals. they were also giving 0% financing.
