2001 legacy L wagon, tailgate lens w backup lights has a couple of cracks in it letting in water. No indication of physical impact. Cracks are about 1" long, starting at the top body side edge and radiate out and down (from the inside edge). One is near the wiper pivot, and the other about 8" from the first.

Wondering if this is a common problem, as it could be due to the flex on such a large lens when the hatch is shut agravating any stress points inherent in injecting a large plastic piece. Could also be due to the tightening of the mounting points -don't know how its actually mounted. Will be taking car in monday for last bumper to bumper warranty check. Want to determine if this is a known issue or not, so I have an idea of how hard to push the issue.

TIA

Dealer (not the selling dealer) is going to replace gate lens under warranty, no argument. :-))
