Gunslinger
09-22-2003, 12:58 PM
If I ever get my car back.

Hopefully it will be today or tomorrow, but I am willing.

huck
09-22-2003, 01:06 PM
You ever find out what happened?

Gunslinger
09-22-2003, 01:13 PM
1st and 2nd gear synchros and stuff in the tranny were shot. Other stuff too, but I know very lil about the tranny so I can't really expand more than that.

bushido
09-22-2003, 03:40 PM
You know i can't do evening meets. Plus, if i could i rather do a Deaf Dawg meet. I don't like giving my money to big chains. Although i work at one.

bushido
09-22-2003, 03:42 PM
Oh and by the way....No i haven't heard from JV or Roger. I too have been wondering about them. But i am 95% JV said he couldn't do the next drive. He's the big family guy. and probably doesn't want to mess up his car on the dirt.

huck
09-22-2003, 04:18 PM
What about a friday eve?

Gunslinger
09-22-2003, 04:38 PM
I get my car back tomorrow!!!!

What's wrong with big chains? Their parking lots are better to loiter in.

And I am able to do Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sun evenings.

bushido
09-22-2003, 04:43 PM
it would have to be desided early on with dates etc... Friday night is my drinking night. Christina and i usually go over to our friends house in town and get hammered. Along with great food. He has a great wine collection. but i ain't saying no. If i have a time and date i could make it.

huck
09-23-2003, 07:11 PM
Okay, if not InNout or KK how about a local diner? Unfortunately, I don't know of any.... anyone got any ideas?

Gunslinger
09-23-2003, 10:19 PM
We could always go and get pizza somewhere. Like Old Chicago in Petaluma, or something.

Daredevil
09-24-2003, 01:53 AM
who's good for thursday night?

Daredevil
09-24-2003, 04:07 AM
The New Yorker is a great pizza shop and its right next to old chicago in ptown
best pizza in petaluma for sure

bushido
09-24-2003, 02:43 PM
MMMMMM pizza. I totally down with the pizza or even Diner idea.

huck
09-24-2003, 02:49 PM
it got a nice parking lot?

Daredevil
09-24-2003, 02:52 PM
doh, no parking lot hardly :P
its always packed at least (parkin lot, not the restaurant)

huck
09-24-2003, 02:53 PM
We need a parking lot!

bushido
09-24-2003, 03:00 PM
The KK is really just fine. i guess 1 donut won't kill me.

Tim Horton's are #1

Gunslinger
09-25-2003, 12:15 PM
Come up with another pizza place. I only know that one. We could always meet at a Mary's Pizza or something.

huck
09-25-2003, 01:03 PM
I'll scope the town tonight. If my gf's restaurant had parking we could all meet for thai food.

bushido
09-25-2003, 05:01 PM
mmmmmm thai food. my mouth is watering.

huck
09-25-2003, 05:08 PM
Believe me, you have not eaten Thai food til you've eaten her mom's Pumpkin Curry... :D

bushido
09-26-2003, 07:54 PM
Pumpkin curry.....get out of town. That sounds amazing. So when are we going?

cohlineman
09-27-2003, 05:01 PM
I haven't even had a chance to look at the boards in so long!
Busy busy!
I hope everyone's ok , I just checked out Psoper's thread and hope you all have fun on that one!Bushido's right on the family thing , the dirt thing and the off road thing!I am discovering that the right foot is proportionately attached to the wallet!
Don't forget your fix- a-flat cans on that trip!
I am down for an evening get together so let's organize.
Thai sounds good but just a coffee or a donut would work too since it's just to get together anyway.
Gunslinger , I knew it had to be a synchro , you'll notice the STI's tranny has some serious synchro upgrades (not to mention it's a whole different tranny!) as compared to the WRX which has given many problems to people. Most notably are its synchros in 1st and reverse gears which are definitely lacking in our cars!
Hope to see you all soon.
JV
PS I'm on call this week so no car until thursday:mad:
I'll drive the work truck to the meet if I have too, it's turbocharged!

bushido
09-28-2003, 09:47 AM
It's great to hear from you JV. We were all getting worried. Hopefully we'll have something together soon so we can all hook up again.
I've dropped another 5 lbs since last meet. Atkins is doing the job.

Okay, I'm going to push for Krispy Kreme Santa Rosa. Friday night, the 17th. Around 7-8pm. Hang out. Talk shop. See old and new faces.

Cohlineman, glad to hear from you. Was beginning to get worried. Thought you'd finally went out, bought the V1, and Captain Swallows had found out.

Daredevil
09-30-2003, 01:37 PM
doh, i wont' be able to make it
but next time I vouch for mary's pizza in ptown, big parking lot and good food

bushido
09-30-2003, 04:48 PM
Santa Rosa is alittle far, but not a problem. maybe some of us can ride up in a pack. As far as date and time it's totally up in the air right now. It may end up being a wine drinking night with fellow friends in Woodacre. I'll let you know.

bushido
09-30-2003, 04:54 PM
Really silly question guys. I'm not the most knowledgeable computer person around. not even close. Could one of you explan to me how to (paste a quote) from someone. Or better yet (paste a site / thread etc). Please don't laugh at me about not knowing. I've never took a class. and don't own a computer book. I was happy in the past just posting on i-club and looking up big b00b sites. but now i wish to know more.

thanks. rich

cohlineman
10-04-2003, 09:19 PM
Carbon fibre wing adapters from ASF motorsports(made by Seibon, the people who make those wicked CF body kits which I want badly), they look much nicer than the Zerosports offerings.
We'll see.

huck
10-05-2003, 11:07 AM
oooooo!!!! They also make the GT mirrors, right? Nice! Congrats!

cohlineman
10-06-2003, 07:24 PM
Yes. , they have some nice stuff.
I'm scouring the boards for a how too for theese things, mostly because they come with no hardware from this manufacturer, they are up front about it , but their products have a great quality reputation. Can't be that hard!
Did we decide on donuts or a double double wrapped in lettuce for those of us doing Atkins?

Are any of the Santa Rosa people that are going by any chance the owner of the platinum silver WRX in the Bellvue Ranch Subdivision?
There's a guy I see with it all the time but I never get to stop and introduce myself. I'm debating wether or not to drop a note at his crib tommorow about the meet but I would hate for him to be someone who already knows about it.
HID's and a monster tach , if this is you speak up :) otherwise I leave a note!

I very rarely eat BEEF and if i do its steak. I haven't had a hamburger in 8 years. So the only thing i ended up getting was a basket of fries. Worst dinner i ever had.

Krinkov

Chubbys is a small diner right in the Target/best buy center, I think i know where your talking about but these burgers are HUGE. But anyhow, I think it would be way too crowded to get a bunch of us together in that shopping center this time of year with the rest of the swarthy, unwashed, Christmas shopping masses:( In n out or maybe even a pizza place would be cool. :)

cohlineman
12-09-2003, 10:21 PM
Today our offer was accepted on a new place... tommorrow this shack goes on the market!
I think burgers are out for me for a bit along with any other fun stuff as we begin the stressfull endeavour of selling purchasing and moving!
I will keep you all posted as to the progress of our prospective move so I won't go completely awol .
My wife wanted to move to make sure I have no damn money to spend on my car!

That's a good idea. Plus if it's raining and cold, we can all be warm and cozy inside a pizza place. Not a bad idea at all. Just make sure that where ever you pick has a good parking lot and lots of space inside for all of us.

I suppose it will last as long as it takes to meet up at KK, parade to yet to be determined pizza place, and stuff ourselves on pizza. I guess a couple hours. And since we're meeting in SR, i gues we have a few more choices for pizza. We can go to round table and get their room with the big TV and hook up the Xbox rally game, that would be pretty hot:D

So I guess the plan will be to meet up at SRKK between 7 - 7:30 and then all caravan over. I'll bring the Xbox and 2 controllers, if anyone has two other controllers they can bring we can play the new Project Gotham 2 on a 4-way split screen:banana:

I do not plan on any ecu modification anytime soon and am quite happy with speeding tickets I could surely acrue with stock mapping so I run a blitz SUS intake and enjoy every last bit of underhood cacophony it creates. this is turning out to be quite a group. Every time i look at the thread someone else is going along. You guys have to me nice to my Mini friend and don't make fun of is car. It's perfect for the roads we are driving today.

see you all in a few hours. Don't be late (huck). be early if anything

The Mini is high on my wish list , I would never be anything but nice to someone driving the baddest little car on the road today.
Huck the funny thing is , my mailbox was empty , stop yelling at me already. I can barely afford therapy for what Father O'reily did to me and now you're getting on me for my mailbox inadequacies!

Krinkov, it doesn't matter what the route is ... we're going to Hell and thats all there is to it. I'll pretend I didn't read that thing about the liscence , you bad , bad boy. That's like going to the ESPN Cheerleading championships without a box of ru......

never mind

Just woke up from my nap I took after I got back from meeting you guys, heh. It was nice to see everyone and see a few new faces, sorry I couldn't drive with you guys though, hope you're having/had fun, which ever it may be right now. Sneezing and coughing hysterically while trying to drive fast on curvy roads didn't sound like a good idea.

I sold a few parts today that I had laying around to pay for my ticket, so yay. And I found a V1 on ebay for a decent price that I'll probably pick up. Wanna help me install it, huck?

it was a blast guys. I love driving with you people. Even enjoyed the new faces. you were all great.

Miles i wished you could have come. The roads were perfect today. Well all but one. But the two main attractions Geysers Rd & Sweetwater Spring Rd were clear and wonderful.

See ya all again soon i hope
