Getting first Subaru, a 01 Legacy L with just a little left on the 3 yr 60K warranty. Thinking of taking it to dealer for last check over befor the 3yr expires. Any suggestions on what to make sure they double check?
Thanks,

how many miles are on the car? I would recommend getting the current owner to throw in the next major service in the deal. That's when the dealer tends to notice things that are wearing out but haven't made themselves apparent yet.

warranty is 3year 36miles,and 5year 60 power train. make sure you have the last reflash for your car.2 came out since 2001.and see if the air/fuel ratio sensor has been replaced recently.

The car is a canadian vehicle, so the warranty is 3yr 60k km, and the vehicle will be about 200 km under when I get it home. Previous owner was leasing it but has had the major 48k km service done on it, and has done all maintenance by the warranty book schedule, inc the extra oil changes. I got it at a reasonable price so I don't mind getting the dealer to check it out -how many hours is reasonable time to expect them to do a thorough inspection?
Thanks , F.Plant

The WWF-89 ecm update was done, but no air/fuel ratio sensor was changed at that time. Is that a discretionary replacement or should it have been manditory?
