All Subaru motors actually have a 3 digit code, like EJ207, EJ20G, EJ251 (US Impreza/Leg/OBS engine), and apparently now, EJ257.

engine codes are 10 digets. but simpflied to 5
from a STI

also says that it is a GDF not a GDB

cuz it sounds different' than JDM spec GDB-C

but GDB sounds cooler?
