All Subaru motors actually have a 3 digit code, like EJ207, EJ20G, EJ251 (US Impreza/Leg/OBS engine), and apparently now, EJ257.

so thats it.

engine codes are 10 digets. but simpflied to 5

That is the plate from a WRX STi? That is odd.

USDM manual states EJ257.

i too think we should call it GDF

cuz it sounds different' than JDM spec GDB-C

but GDB sounds cooler?
