If anyone has any info on a turbo that could produce any where from 750 to 850 to the wrx fly, obviously on a highly modifed motor. Please let me know where i could fined it.

No matter what search engine i went to i couldent fined anything out there. But i know its out there b/c i remember seeing it.

I just got off the phone with my machanic and where just going to go with a Garret T3T4 hybrid thats good for 600 to the fly.

Uhhhh... yeah. It's $29,000 and only makes that much power on 116 octane leaded race gas. It makes maybe 500 on 97 and less on pump gas. It also has a power band that looks like the space needle.

If you already have the motor ready, then it's not hard to find a very large turbo to bolt to it. Try giving HKS a call, they can probably help. It would probably take at least a 3540 to make that much power, and you'll need to be revving the snot out of a 2.0 liter engine to make that much air go through it.

 

800hp from 2.0L means 400hp/L which means you'll be running COLLOSAL boost with a motor built entirely out of forged aftermarket bits + solid block, lots of octane, entirely revamped fuel system, standalone fuel management (ideally EMS), entirely aftermarket drivetrain... the list goes on. You could buy several WRX's for the cost of this project, and the car will not be streetable with the kind of drivetrain and power delivery you will get.

Just making sure you understand what you're talking about and not just having ricer dreams, if you think a turbo is all you need, you're sorely mistaken.

 

hey shguy, I do have every thing done to the car that you have mentioned. The only thing i did'nt do yet is new axles and drive shaft. The motor is ready and willing to take any type of power from the new turbo and I went with a Billet dogg box. Good for 920 hp.

I was very vague with the whole 800 HP WRX title but i do have it all done. And yes your right you can buy like 4 WRX's with the amount put into the work. Thank you for your suggestion.

The tranny is a Billet Dogg box 5 speed

seriously if you want an 800 horsepower rex why'd you buy a rex? shoudla bought a diesel..
but there actually are many turbos that make that power no problem it's the platform (motor, drive train and such) that can't handle it even built.

Look into the garret/ greddy style t88's and t98's that are making that power on built supras... but good luck on any four cylinder. gonna need at least a v6 and you might as well use an inline. (hint: skyline)

what about using a garrett GT4088r twin scroll? would that put you near that range? you would have to get a custom Up pipe and Down Pipe made.
