i am still deciding, but this'll be a major factor.
dealers will void your warantee if they find abbusive evidence on your car (whatever tha tmeans), but what about racing it at track and autoX.
i know it's not rgith to still want your warantee to have to raced. but is there such a void? i mean, hell, even when driving i can be quite aggressive; this is a sports car, and should be driven it like one. i dont want to get a car and have to baby it all the time, where;s the fun? any inputs would be great. TIA

It depends. If you are running in D stock, you shouldn't have a problem. But the mods you would be running in STX or SM2 would typically void parts of your warranty. It's better to approach it from that standpoint.

Inititally, Subaru encouraged the new users to participate in legal driving events. When the 2002 WRX was released, each new owner would get a free SCCA membership for 1 year.

Driving does not void your warranty in most cases.
Modifying your car does.

I heard that dragging your car (even if it's stock) will void the warranty. Thoughts? Truth?

It makes it real hard to look the service writer in the eye and say you didn't abuse the car if you are launching it even semi-hard at the strip. It's extremely stressful on the gears, since you aren't spinning your tires. Even at autocrosses, you should take the time to shift properly. Avoiding peak stresses is the key to transmission longevity, not so much the actual torque your engine makes.
