Will that one from flat4engineering.com fit on a 93? aren't the bumpers different once you get up to 98 or 99?

Or I might be incorrect n thinking my 93 is even a GC8... not entirely clear on that just yet.

Thanx

mr m ---- just checked the flat 4 site and noticed that the bumper on the rs has been on uk turbo's since 1992 and the bumper did'nt change till late 97..........so does'nt that mean that it should fit shesiji's 93 imppreza rs ???

What?!?

The '99-'01 RS front bumper, i.e. version 5/6, didn't show up anywhere until model year '99, and is different than the pre-'99 WRX bumpers, which were never available on North American Impreza's. And, there is no '93 Impreza RS. :)

Kenny.c, the front bumper on the Impreza L was the same one that was on the UK Impreza GL. The '99-'01 Impreza RS used the same front bumper as the UK Impreza Turbo and Sport of '99-'00.

Am I correct in thinking that the "new age" Impreza debuted in the UK as a 2001 model?

oic........it's just on the pic with the yellow rs with the lip spoiler... that particular bumper was phased out on the uk sport and turbo's here at around the latter half 98.

cheers anyway:)

Aaah, I see. I wasn't going by the picture. Those must be Prodrive cars, because that front bumper was never available here.

I'm still jealous of you lucky bastards in the UK. You've been enjoying turboed Scooby goodness for over ten years now. :D

mule2k-- well thats one of the few good things we have had but you guys seem better off with the stiWRX 2.5 turbo.........lucky barstewards............does'nt really matter if you guys don't get a particular model of car as you's seem to have a knack of importing the engine and drivetrain then making a replica version but faster................:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

in case anybody is considering getting the front lip, i definitely wouldnt get it from flat4engineering.com if you can find somewhere else to get it. i ordered one on tuesday august 26(by phone) and was told i would get it that friday. when i called on friday i was told that it was just being shipped that day and that it would be here the next wednesday(sept 3). however, when i checked the tracking number on last wednesday it seems ups was having a little trouble getting it to me as the jack a$$ at mike shaw subaru (they own flat4eng.) took my address down wrong even though i spelled out the street name for him and he also got the zip code wrong. so i called him this last monday(i was out of town the end of last week) and was told a new one would be sent out. i got it today(15 days after ordering it) minus the mounting hardware i was told would be included. on top of all this $97.50 is an awful lot for what it is. anywho, i plan on installing it today or tomorrow and will put up before and after pics i hope will be useful to somebody. i know they would have helped me in the decision to get one.

Hey now! Mr. M, you obviously had a negative experience, but that can't be typical of Flat4Engineering. I ordered a couple parts from them back in July, including a Prodrive muffler that had to be drop shipped from Prodrive in California. And they were shipped out the same day I ordered them, and I received them four days later with no problems. Their parts guy was prompt and courteous and I was pleased with the experience, although their shipping charges were a bit high. BTW, I ordered online, which is usually quicker and more accurate than ordering by phone.

yeah im sure it was a bad experience uncharacteristic of their servcive but it sure angered me. i will probably give them another chance if i decide they have something else i actually want thats at a decent price because they are relatively close. i wish i couldve ordered online but for some reason my piece o' crap computer wouldnt let me check out. oh well i eventually got the lip and it looks friggin awesome. its a definite must for anybody with a gc8 rs.

I'll try to get pics up of my car, complete with front lip and rear spats (my car is black so it matches more or less). My friend is gonna take pic of it with his digital cam sometime for a demo of Officemax's calendar making capabilities!
