Hey people, I remember a few months back everyone was bypassing the TB coolant lines. I figured I'd wait a while before trying this (let you all be my guinea pigs...).
Does anyone have anything bad to say about this mod?
thanks,

I have the TB bypass mod and so far, so good. We've had some freezing nights over here and I had my snow-fun and I had no problem.

I've had mine bypassed for some time now and have nothing but good things to say about it.
A little power gain (in my mind) and that is about it.
I have thought about this though...the coolant may actually serve to cool the throttle body when it is really hot outside. If that intake manifold gets really hot, it'll heat the throttle body....and if those temps are higher than the coolant temps running through the block....then you'd want coolant in there.
But in this winter Northern CA weather, it's just fine for me.

I did my bypass job in the summer and the TB was never as hot as the coolant. I guess the TB has just enough air cooling. :)
The intake runners were hot, though, so I guess some phenolic spacers would be a nice thing to add.
