i want to get an alarm system that will talk and warn people that are too close to the vehicle. what system does this?

hahaha, right. i want one that doesnt talk, but churps if someone

here are a couple models

Cliford Concept 400 - prox. only no impact
Alpine Sec-150r - prox and impact

most brands should have an add on module for this.

I'm not sure on that one...

let me check w/ my installers, might be able to tie it in w/ the dome light sensor...

you can tie the trigger to the trunk pin off the keyless entry or the security module. the prox sensor can be turned on via the starter kill relay output from the security module. when the alarm is armed, a signal is sent out from the security module to the starter kill relay. wire this up to a relay, ground the prox sensor and wire up the trigger wire to the trunk wire and you're set!

of course, i left out exact wire locations and such... but, this just gives you an idea of how it can be done!
