I am trying to locate a repair manual for a 1994 Legacy (Impreza) 1600 cc for my brother-in-law overseas. Any leads on where to find such a document?

I have a Chiltons that goes from 85-96 and a Haynes that goes 90-98

Haynes ISBN 1563923262

Chilton ISBN 0801987970

You can search the ISBN on Amazon.com

Not sure which one is better, the Haynes is Legacy specific and the chilton goes across the models.

Have been through the internet at length this morning. So far all Chilton's and Haynes have been for 1800 cc or 2200 cc. Could you confirim yours includes the 1600 cc? Would greatly appreciate it

Thanks! My quest continues. Might have to check with some Brit clubs.

ok -heres the problem-own the subaru web site for service manuals you cant download the whole manually.its devided into many sub sections-i mean alot-if there was one or a couple that you needed (sections) id be happy to download them-but all would take way to long to download-they do offer the manual on cd but its price is high at $200.00,here is the number you can order from ur local subaru dealer#msa5tcd95l

For 19.95 you can get 72 hrs access but like the man said there are tons of files to download. It takes a good 1-2 hrs of dedicated time to sit and download each file and put it into a subdirectory on your HD that has to be set up as you are doing the downloading. If you don't do the subdirectory thing it's hard to figure out what each file is for because the names are only numbers that don't mean anything. I was able to get the 04 Forester and our 02 OB manual as well as TSB's and some other tec info. The server is pretty slow too I might add.

It's long drawn out and painful but for the price hard to beat.
