ImprezaRSDriver 12-13-2002, 01:37 AM The Cobb Tuning wheels are NOT Prodrive wheels. The wheels that Cobb sells is their own design. It weighs more and costs more than a Prodrive rim. But it is wider. As in gold, not sure, check out their website, www.cobbtuning.com. kenchan 12-13-2002, 03:17 PM for people who are going after handling, that 53mm is a good way to go. 22lbs is about right for a cast wheel, imo. those 16lbs cast wheels are only asking for trouble ...especially driving around in the streets where pot holes and rough railroads are a problem (like chicago and michigan). if you live in malibu, then 16lbs cast wheel might work...but dont plan on driving it on the 710 near long beach. hahahaa. :D Kobayashi 12-18-2002, 07:51 AM Originally posted by ImprezaRSDriver The Cobb Tuning wheels are NOT Prodrive wheels. IIRC, the Cobb wheel is a slightly modded Technomagnesio Indianapolis wheel. k. Turbeauxrex 12-31-2002, 05:40 PM And they are too expensive. See if you can source them from Technomagnesio. A friend of mine got his for $125 ea., versus the $280 ea. that I paid. Peace, Curtis ImprezaRSDriver 01-01-2003, 02:16 PM At this point with the Cobb wheel, you are paying for his name. |
