How can i get my car to run 13.0 or less in 1/4mile? 240sxer 07-12-2003, 01:25 AM more mods?? i would assume... more mods = more power = faster 1/4 time. correct me if im wrong. ImprezaRSDriver 07-12-2003, 01:15 PM Not just more mods. It depends on what mods you make. sigma pi 07-12-2003, 06:18 PM how much you spend= how fast you go simple math Slamsitin 07-13-2003, 02:23 PM wow u guys are smart. i didnt think i had to be so specific. what mods do i have to add to acheive a 13.0 in my 03wrx??? next time save us all some time and post to threads asking resonable questions after doin a search or help people. theres alot more immature teeniebooper members than i thought verc 07-13-2003, 11:31 PM You need a boost controller and an Uppipe and maybe a downpipe if you are talking about "If I am a godly driver and I want to do a blaze down the dragstrip just once" 13.0 consistantly? I dunno really, I would suppose you'd need an upgraded turbo with the appropriate support mods for an average driver. Although I'm not really too sure about the fuel requirements for the WRX at the ~300-340 hp level. I know MR2 turbo's have 440 cc injectors too and they support more than 400 horsepower on the stock fuel system. urabus03 07-14-2003, 03:32 AM more performance mods.....less weight. that seems to be the equation that every is using these days. mattr762 07-15-2003, 07:02 AM To do it safely you need the following - 3" Turbo-back (hi-flowing) - catless uppipe - Bigger turbo - ECU management - bigger IC - IC hoses - bigger injectors ZO6Killer 07-16-2003, 10:00 AM Matt is right....at least to some degree, although at a normal altitude you can run your WRX to better than a 13.0 without a bigger Intercooler or intercooler hoses. The bigger turbo and injectors are a must and you should either invest in a fuel rail, or make some mods to the stock distribution setup in order to avoid leaning out cylinder three. Try STI injectors, a VF 22, 23 30 or 34 turbo, vishnu rail with SX FPR, Walbro 255lph pump, manual or electronic boost controller, XEDE or UTEC ECU, and some tuning. That should easily get you under 13.0 I have all of the aforementioned mods on my 2002 WRX(plus some extra hoses, pulley and a few other little things) and I actually have about 300 pounds of extra weight(audio competition vehicle). My personal car has run a best of 12.51 @ 111 on pump gas with a 1.87 60' time. I figure the car should run in the low 12's with a bigger intercooler, additional dyno tuning and a better 60' Hope that helps |
