Thanks, Collins slonomo 07-11-2003, 09:39 AM That's an interesting question. I don't know about your antenna, but mine is noisy. When I come to a stop, I can hear it wiggling and bouncing all over. useful 07-11-2003, 05:36 PM This is a good question. Anyone care to answer it? The WRX 2002 antenna like the 2003 (I think Im right) is in the same spot. Directly above the driver side window. What sucks about it is that its a manual antenna. If you want it to go up, you gotta roll down the window and pull the antenna up, which totally sucks. A while ago, I could of swore a WRB 2002 WRX had the same OEM antenna but it raised and went down on its own! It was an "automatic" antenna. Personally, I would like to get the one I saw on that WRX. But I cant find it. I've searched for some kind of replacement for the oem antenna, no luck. Then again my google searching skills suck. Not to mention the antenna has terrible trouble getting signals unless its pulled all the way out. Now! What I did find was if your willing to go XM radio, there are antennas that can be hidden in the trunk or in the cabin of the WRX. But then again, this is for XM radio where you gotta pay to listen for radio, which I think is totally bogus  Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful. Lavery 07-12-2003, 04:47 PM www.ravensblade-impreza.com has a "how to" power antenna. you can email them and see where they got it. luke Billy 07-29-2003, 02:36 AM Not sure if this helps out much but I had a body shop pull out the existing whip antenna assembly, including the antenna, itself. They then covered it with a plate, sanded it flush/smooth and then painted it. Was about $200USD for all the work. I don't have a pic but take a look at your right side exterior A pillar! ;) So now I'm looking for a proper antenna... |
