So I keep on waiting for a viable and fully functioning engine management tool to come out, but it's yet to appear.

700 for the initial map, and 200 bucks everytime therafter?! I think not.

1500 bucks for a system with bugs that the developers refuse to fix? Nope, I'm not liking that either.

UTEC seems like the best option right now, but last I heard it wasn't reliably controlling boost yet.

I'm not asking for a release date, but do you guys back at TurboXS have any idea when (say in terms of months perhaps) the software will be ugraded so that I don't need to use an MBC with the UTEC?

Your price is sweet, and I'm not hearing many cons to your system... I think there may be a lot of fence sitters like me, who are eager as all hell to pick up some engine management, but want something that's handling all of our needs. Thanks for your time, and I mean no personal offence to the two other options I consider to be less than viable.

The UTEC controls boost very well right now.

In any case you don't need an MBC to control boost with the UTEC. You do however have to add an additional bleeder to help the stock BCS bleed off enough extra pressure to reach higher than 16psi boost levels.

The ABC serves 2 functions
1. Replaces the factory restrictor in the BCS line
2. When opened allows for you to reach high (18psi+) boost pressures while still allowing the UTEC to control boost.

The newest version of the software is only a few days away from being released. This new version (2.5) takes this boost control system even further. It incorporates closed loop boost control.

The current open loop control is quite good, but the closed loop software is even better.

Get the UTEC, best 999 I have ever spent on a car. And yes, boost control is rock solid, it just doesn't compensate for enviornmental variables - that is comming in a few days

2.5 is out. Now you get automatic boost compensation for atmospheric changes. And from what I have heard it does it as well, or better than standalone units like the Blitz and HKS units.
