View Full Version : Legacy Dash light / correct removal

any one know how to removed the dash board?
i've had limmited succes in the form that the fake wooden brackets have snapped!...:(

so i did'nt dare go any futher! any one have detail instructions on where to lift and where to pull to get teh dash board off and to the lights?

What year Legacy do you have?
I assume you're trying to remove the facia stuff around the radio?
It's pretty easy on 95-99 models.
Open the cup holder & remove the larger screws on either end of the holder receiver. You can now pull out the cup holder assembly.
Now look at the cubby hole, the thing where the ash tray goes. Use a butter knife-like instrument & lightly pry between the facia and the cubby hole to remove it.
There are two phillips that are installed vertically into the facia, so use a stubby screwdriver to remove them.
The lower facia piece can now be removed. The upper facia piece just snaps into the dash.

Be careful & proceed with caution.

hey paul

legacy/liberty 2001 hhm.. the layout might be different. got any pictures? cuz i'm too scared to pull out the dash with any force.
there seems to be only 2 screws over the instrument panel and no screws any where else after that.
